Policies

  • No meter installed after January 9, 2003, shall be used to provide water to more than one (1) residential or one (1) nonresidential user.
  • Orders for new service are processed twice daily at 11 a.m. and at 4 p.m. If utility department personnel are called out after hours or on weekends, there will be a charge of $50.00 for each trip out. there will be a $50.00 tampering fee if the meter is turned on or off by anyone other than utility personnel. Water meters are read on or near the fifteenth (15th) of each month. bills are mailed before the first of every month and are payable by the fifteenth (15th). If you do not receive a bill, please call to get the amount due to avoid a penalty or shut-off!

  • Commercial accounts utilizing dumpsters are given the option to select from two-yard to eight-yard dumpsters based on their needs. The rates charged for dumpster service will be increased accordingly.
  • The owner or occupants of each single-family dwelling or business establishment in the City shall be provided a garbage can or such container (with lid) of sufficient capacity to hold accumulated garbage; such container shall be kept in a place accessible to the sanitary department employees, but never upon any street, sidewalk, or public place.
