High Springs, FLA – Around 9:00 PM on the evening of March 20th, the High Springs Fire Department was dispatched to 23253 NW 178th Place in High Springs’ Patrician Gardens neighborhood, for a reported structure fire.

Firefighters arrived on-scene within five minutes, reporting fire showing from the rear corner of a single-wide mobile home. Firefighters deployed a hose line and entered the structure to extinguish the fire, containing the blaze, to the bedroom, where the fire is thought to have started.

Due to damage from fire, smoke, and water, the occupants of the home were displaced, and were assisted by the American Red Cross in securing lodging and other necessities.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and the cause is believed to be faulty wiring. High Springs was assisted on-scene by Alachua County Fire Rescue and High Springs Police Department.
