It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of former Commissioner and Mayor, Dean Davis, aged 87.
Davis served on the commission from 2009-2012, and as Mayor from 2011-2012.
Davis, a lifelong resident of High Springs, was a former president of the city's Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Merchants Association.
The City of High Springs joins in mourning the loss of a remarkable leader and extends heartfelt condolences to Mayor Davis' family and friends during this difficult time.
