Where to Start

Permitting: The Planning, Development, and Codes Department processes all approved planning and construction related permits for the City of High Springs. If you are building a new home; fixing or remodeling your current home; installing new plumbing or heating/air conditioning equipment; starting or relocating a business; moving a structure; building a fence, storage shed, or repairing a sidewalk, PDC has just the permit you need to make sure that your project goes as smoothly as possible, and complies with all municipal codes, the Florida Building Code, Fire Code, and High Springs Manual for Development and Design Standards.

Business License: Businesses Licenses, formally known as occupational licenses, are obtained by contacting The Planning, Development, and Codes Department at (386) 454 1416 Ext. 230.

The City of High Springs has a wealth of information and available people waiting to help navigate you through the process of permitting, wither you are a new small business owner, or a large scale developer, our skilled and experienced staff is waiting to answer any of your question.

Applications must be retuned to the Planning Development & Codes office with an attached site plan, drawn to scale for Conditional Use Permits or Zoning Permits in most cases.   Any incomplete applications will not be processed.


 
Under Florida law (Statute 119.011), all information, including e-mail, written letters, documents and phone messages, sent to the City of High Springs is subject to Public Records law. This includes the sender's e-mail address, home address or phone number if shown in the message, the content of the message and any associated attachments to the mail. Also please be aware that electronic correspondence (e-mail) is made available on the for public release immediately upon being sent. If you desire your information not be released for public records inspection you should use instead use alternate methods to contact the City of High Springs.
