NEW BUSINESS
1. CONSIDER AWARDING A BID FOR THE REMOVAL OF ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS FROM THE ANNEX AND CAFETERIA OF THE OLD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
2. CONSIDER ENTERING INTO A NEW CONTRACT WITH THOMAS G. DEPETER ESQ. TO PROVIDE LEGAL SERVICES IN THE CAPACITY OF THE CHARTER OFFICER POSITION OF CITY ATTORNEY.
3. CONSIDER ORDINANCE 2009-14, AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF HIGH SPRINGS CHARTER SECTION 2.04 “MAYOR” SUBSECTION (a) “SELECTION”, TO SET THE MEETING AT WHICH THE CITY COMMISSION SHALL ELECT A MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR FROM THE SITTING COMMISSIONERS; DIRECTING THAT THIS AMENDMENT BE PLACED ON THE BALLOT OF THE GENERAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 3, 2009; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THE PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT IF APPROVED; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

4. CONSIDER RESOLUTION 2009-M, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HIGH SPRINGS, FLORIDA; RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF FIRE SERVICES, FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS IN THE CITY OF HIGH SPRINGS, FLORIDA; ESTABLISHING THE ESTIMATED ASSESSMENT RATE FOR FIRE SERVICES ASSESSMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2009; DIRECTING THE PREPARATION OF AN ASSESSMENT ROLL; AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC HEARING AND DIRECTING THE PROVISION OF NOTICE THEREOF; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
5. DISCUSS THE NEED FOR ADOPTING A FUND BALANCE POLICY.
